Daily VBS theme lesson Summary:<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Day 1 Story:<\/strong> God Promises a Savior from Sin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture Reference: Genesis 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bible Truth: God promised and sent a Savior to take away the sins of all people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life Application: God saves us from the punishment for our sins and the power of the devil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memory Treasure: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. (1 Timothy 1:15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sea Creature: black dragonfish<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2 Story:<\/strong> Jesus Says No to the Devil<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture Reference: Matthew 4:1-11<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bible Truth: Jesus used the Word of God to fight the devil\u2019s temptations and win. Life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application: We want to be filled with God\u2019s Word so we can fight the devil\u2019s temptations and win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memory Treasure: Blessed . . . are those who hear the word of God and obey it. (Luke 11:28)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3 Story:<\/strong> The Savior Dies and Comes Back to Life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture Reference: Portions of the Gospels<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bible Truth: Jesus lived a sinless life, died on a cross, and rose from the dead to forgive our sins and give us heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life Application: We trust Jesus alone to save us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memory Treasure: We believe that Jesus died and rose again. (1 Thessalonians 4:14)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 4 Story:<\/strong> God Protects His People<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture Reference: Portions of Exodus 14\u201317<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bible Truth: God protected the Israelites from their enemies and fed his people in the desert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life Application: We trust God to protect us and give us what we need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memory Treasure: Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sea Creature: sea anemone<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 5 Story:<\/strong> Jonathan Serves God by Helping David<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture Reference: 1 Samuel 18:1-12; 19:1-7<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bible Truth: Jonathan helped David, even though he knew David would become king instead of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life Application: We serve God by helping others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memory Treasure: Serve one another in love. (Galatians 5:13)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
