Pastor Locklair

Rev. David H. Locklair grew up in Milwaukee, WI. He was homeschooled through high school and then attended Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, WI.

While studying at CUW, he joined the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. He also met his future wife, Kallie. They were married in December 2006.

Pastor Locklair graduated summa cum laude in May 2007 with a B.A. in Theology and a minor in Theological Languages. He is a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and received the Zondervan Publishing House “outstanding achievement in Biblical Greek” award.

Pastor Locklair was accepted into the seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod, Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary (Mankato, MN), in the Fall of 2007. He served his vicar year at Grace Lutheran Church in Vero Beach, FL under Rev. Matthew Luttman. Pastor Locklair graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in June of 2011.

He served a dual parish in Thornton and Mason City, IA, and parishes in Port Orchard, WA and Portage, IN prior to accepting the call to Grace.

In 2012, Pastor and Kallie added Jackie the rescue “doxle” (a beagle and dachshund mix) to their home.

Pastor and Kallie adopted their first child, Jahleel, from Hong Kong in 2014. Their second child, Camden, was adopted from China in 2017. Their third child, Peyton, was born in 2018. The Lord called Camden home to heaven after a sudden health crisis in 2020.

In his free time, Pastor Locklair enjoys watching a variety of professional sports. He is a die-hard Indianapolis Colts and Milwaukee Bucks fan. He is also a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. He particularly enjoys reading theological books in the field of dogmatics, and he has a lifelong interest in cars.

Kallie enjoys serving as Grace’s choir coordinator. Pastor and his family love calling northwest Indiana “home.”
